Key Outcomes – レッスンの概要

The familiarisation of students with two basic musical faculties;

Aim – レッスンの目的

The aim of the lesson is to be ready for normal piano lesson such as;

  • reading musical notes
  • developing a sense of rhythm
  • improving aural skills
  • acknowledges of colours, numbers and basic musical terms
  • developing perfect pitch
  • being able to follow the teacher’s instruction in an environment supported by parents
  • getting used to a 30 minutes lesson
  • gaining confidence and a sense of achievement

Lessons’ Details – レッスンの内容

  • Using flash cards of Rhythms
  • Learning how to read musical notes (activities include colouring and drawing notes)
  • Salfage (Reading notes, singing with note names i.e. using do-re-mi, reading and clapping rhythmic patterns)
  • Aural practice (listening)
  • ことば、リズムあそび
  • 音符の読み方、色ぬり、書き方
  • ソルフェージュ(音符の読み方、歌い方、リズムの読み方)
  • 楽譜を見てピアノを弾く練習

Why Private Lessons? – 個人レッスン

Private individual lessons are strongly recommended for preschool kids rather than group lessons because the difference between students in communication and confidence can be too wide. Individually, we are able to tailor lessons towards maximising the innate development skills of each student by concentrating not only on celebrating results achieved but looking ahead towards their future development.

リトミックの生徒さんは特に個人差が大きいため、主に個人レッスンを行っています。一人一人の成長に合わせて、スピードや内容を柔軟に変えることができる利点を重視しています。本格的なピアノレッスンに十分な能力が養われれば、本格的ピアノレッスンにスムーズに移行させることができます。

Example Reports – レッスンの成果

We report on student progress twice a year.

Student 1: 3 years old (2 months since he started lessons)

  • He can read notes from middle C – G in treble clef.
  • He can clap rhythms with minims, crotchets, quavers and crotchet rests.
  • His finger forms are very good
  • He can play the piano with reading the music.
  • He is still developing the confidence to speak out and perform in front of the teacher in lessons
  • Our next challenge will be acquiring this performance confidence in independent playing.

Student 2: 3 ½ years old (After a half yea)

  • She can read notes from middle C- G in treble clef and has started learning of reading notes in bass clef.
  • Initially she was too shy to sing and answer teacher’s questions when starting her lesson, however a half year later she sings in a loud voice to teacher’s playing and repeats teacher’s singing.
  • Her weakness is a finger form as her fingers are too stiff but she is trying to relax her fingers to get them in a right form.
  • She can improve this by exercising her fingers on the piano and by reminding herself to begin by setting the form of her fingers before playing.

Student 3: 3 ½ years old (After a half year)

  • His reading skill is firm as he can sing with solfa (note names) if the notes are C-G in treble and F-C in bass clef.
  • His finger forms are very good so that he can read music and play the piano confidently without looking at his hands.
  • He can write notes with semibreves on to stave.
  • His aural skill has been developing and he can recognise and distinguish melodies and rhythms that he hears.
  • Our next challenge will be learning of C-G in bass clef to read and play, and mastering some easy pieces to play that he knows to gain more confidence and excitement in his independent playing.

例1)3歳1ヶ月で始めた男の子 (レッスン期間:2ヶ月)

  • 始めて2ヶ月ほどでド~ソまで読めるようになりました。
  • リズムも2分音符、4分音符、8分音符、4分休符を読み分けて、リズム打ちすることができるようになりました。
  • ピアノを弾くときも、がんばって指を丸くしてひくことができます。

例2)3歳半年で始めた女の子 (レッスン期間:半年)

  • 始めて半年でド~ソまで読めるようになり、ヘ音記号の読みに入りました。
  • リズムは、全音符、2分音符、4分音符、8分音符、4分休符を読み分けて、リズム打ちすることができます。
  • 最初は恥ずかしがって、歌を歌ったり、音符を声に出して読むことができませんでしたが、半年後には大きな声で歌ったり、メロディーを反復するようになりました。
  • ピアノを弾くときに力が入ってしまいがちですが、少しずつ力を抜いてキレイなフォームでひけるようになってきました。

例3)3歳後半で始めた男の子(レッスン期間:半年)

  • 始めて半年でト音記号のドレミファソ、ヘ音記号のドシラソファを完璧に覚えました。
  • 指の形がキレイになったので、鍵盤(ゆび)を見なくても楽譜だけを見て弾けます。
  • 全音符を使って、習った音を五線譜に書くことができます。
  • 聴音の力もついてきて、聞こえたリズムやメロディーを探すことができるようになってきました。
